I posted last Friday.
- I forgot to mention The Personal MBA.
- I recommended this to a friend at lunch.
- This book has helped me in many ways.
Here is what I was doing on Saturday:
- I listed to the Tim Ferriss podcast with Scott Adams.
- It reminded me that I like the Scott Adams blog post on writing.
- In the podcast, Scott Adams talks about hypnosis and psychology.
- He mentions Milton Erickson.
- He talks about psychological topics in his book How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big, which I ran across in the library a few years back and enjoyed.
- He asks: “Which word is funnier: pull or yank?” I liked this question.
- He discusses Donald Trump and he mentions The Art of the Deal.
- I’ve been meaning to read it.
- I read a chapter or two in The 4-Hour Body.
- I read about kettle bell swings.
- I visited Strength First.
On Sunday:
- I liked this from Seth Godin: “How to give a five-minute presentation:
Give a four-minute presentation and take your time.” - I watched Behind the Brand: An Interview with Seth Godin.
- If someone can tell you exactly what to do, they can find someone to do it cheaper.
- I watched Lost in Space with my kids.
- We watched the first two episodes.
- All of us enjoyed it and want to watch more.
On Monday:
- I listened to Derek Sivers on the Tim Ferris Podcast.
- I liked this from Seth Godin: You’ll pay a lot, but you’ll get more than you pay for.
- I liked this quote from Oscar Wilde, shared by my friend Norm Hulcher:
- “It is what you read when you don’t have to that determines what you will be when you can’t help it.”
- My friend sent me this link and I watched it today.
- It spoofs the Tim Ferriss 4-Hour books.
