Here’s a note I made after listening to Greg McKeown’s podcast:
Focus is not the same as fixation. You can think about about focus in terms of how the eye focuses: by shifting and by adjusting.
I have no idea how the eye works. Does it really focus with shifts and adjustments?
I don’t know. But I’m attracted to the idea that focus is not the same as fixity. That seems true.
Motion, rather that rigidity, is a sign of life. If focus is vital, it will be accompanied by movement and activity to stay focused.
