When you’re presenting your thinking about something, remember what readers really want.
Readers don’t want to re-trace the meandering path you took to finally reach your conclusion. They want to know the conclusion and why it makes sense.
Don’t write your thought process. The final draft shouldn’t mimic the path you took to come up with the idea. Instead, start the piece with a conclusion and make your best case.
